Day 2 of psychopomps week on the November Challenge.
asked me to draw Sandman's Death. Fun character for sure. Everything you see here is in Sketchbook Pro 6. For the outline, I used a brush tool that I've modified to look something like a marker. The skin coloring used Sketchbook's Copic markers. The texture on the shirt is a charcoal pencil turned to white, and then back to black to do the touch ups. The hair, pants, boots and umbrella highlights were done with various paint brushes and then softened up with a soft eraser. I made it a point to merge layers much more often than I normally would so I couldn't go back and nitpick the hell out of this and hopefully finish it in a timely manner. I know this is a little rough in spots, but I hope you guys stick with me as I do a lot more experimenting during the November Challenge. My main goal this month is to learn some new techniques and more about Sketchbook Pro and Manga Studio 5's tools.
